Welcome Menu Key Options determine where callers are routed when they press a keypad button.
Match your greeting to your keypad options
Welcome Menu options are not announced automatically. Your greeting must tell callers which keys to press. Update the greeting whenever you change a Key Option.
Access Welcome Menu Key Options
As an administrator, you can access Welcome Menu configurations from the Sync Settings Portal. Configure Key Options to give callers clear, direct paths to the people, teams, and services they need.
- Log in to the net2phone desktop or browser app with Admin credentials.
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Click Company Settings from the navigation menu.
You will be redirected to the Settings Portal.

- Select Welcome Menus.
- Locate the Welcome Menu you want to update.
- Click the pencil icon to edit the Welcome Menu.
- Scroll to the Key Options section.
Configure No Selection
No Selection determines where callers are routed when they do not press a keypad button.
Configure a No Selection destination, so callers are not left without a routing path.
- Click the No Selection destination field.
- Select the appropriate destination.

Add a keypad option
Add a keypad option for each caller choice you want to include in the Welcome Menu.
- In the Key Options section, select the keypad number you want callers to press.
- Open the destination menu.
- Select the required routing destination.
- Repeat the process for each additional caller option.
Available destinations can include:
- Team Members — route the call to an individual user.
- Departments — route the call to a Department.
- Ring Groups — route the call through a Ring Group call flow.
- Welcome Menus — route the caller to another Welcome Menu or submenu.
- Company Directory — allow callers to search the dial-by-name directory.
- Call Queues — route the caller to a Call Queue.
- Add Forwarding Number — route the caller to an external phone number.
- Repeat Menu — replay the current Welcome Menu greeting.

Use Repeat Menu
Repeat Menu lets callers hear the Welcome Menu greeting again without hanging up and redialling.
Avoid an endless menu loop
Repeat Menu should not be the caller's only available path. Make sure the Welcome Menu includes a valid destination where callers can reach a person, team, service, Company Directory, or voicemail.
Update the Welcome Menu greeting
After configuring the Key Options, make sure the greeting tells callers which keys are available and where they lead.
For example:
Press 1 for Sales. Press 2 for Support. Press 3 for our Company Directory.
You can record the greeting by phone, upload a custom audio file, or use text-to-speech.

Pro Tip: Test your keypad routing
After saving your changes, place a test call and confirm:
- The greeting matches the configured Key Options.
- Each keypad selection reaches the intended destination.
- No Selection routes correctly.
- Repeat Menu behaves as expected, if configured.
- Callers do not become trapped in a routing loop.
