Welcome to net2phone Sync, your company’s unified communications platform. Sync combines your business phone system, messaging, video meetings, and contacts into one application so you can communicate and collaborate from anywhere.

With Sync, you can use your business number to make and receive calls, send messages, join video meetings, check voicemail, and access company contacts from your computer, mobile device, or desk phone.

What are Team Members in Sync?

Team Members are users within your organization who are assigned an extension and access to business communication tools in Sync. Depending on your permissions, Team Members can make and receive calls, send messages, access voicemail, join meetings, and manage personal settings.

Your administrator manages account setup, extensions, phone numbers, and company-wide settings.

Team Member access and permissions

Sync brings your business calls, messages, meetings, and contacts into one platform so you can communicate with customers and coworkers without switching between different applications.

As a Team Member, you can:

  • Make and receive business calls using your company phone number.
  • View your call history and listen to voicemail messages.
  • Send and manage messages using SMS and team chat.
  • Access and manage company and personal contacts.
  • Start or join Huddle video meetings for collaboration.
  • Manage personal settings, including call forwarding, voicemail, and notifications.
Example: Sync browser app with Contact open on the left panel, a conversation thread open in the middle panel, and the dialer panel on the right.

The Sync desktop app is organized into separate work areas, allowing you to manage conversations, calls, and contacts efficiently. Sync's dynamic, multi-panel layout keeps the main communication tools visible while you work.

On the left side, you will find the main navigation area, where you can move between activities, calls, interactions, and contacts.

In the center, the main workspace updates based on what you select, such as conversations, call history, or contact details.

On the right side, you can access the dialer and call controls while continuing to work in other parts of the app.

Example: Starting a new message from the desktop app.

Use Sync across your devices

You can use Sync on multiple devices depending on how and where you work.

  • Browser and Desktop app: Manage calls, messages, contacts, voicemail, and meetings from your computer.
  • Mobile app: Stay connected to business calls and messages while away from your desk.
  • Desk phone: Make and receive calls using a supported desk phone assigned to your extension.
  • Huddle meetings: Join or start video meetings for internal and external collaboration.
