Profile Settings: Overview

Discover all the configuration options including in the net2phone platform Profile Settings section; verify and setup your personal information, call handling preferences, devices, and voicemail options.

Your Profile Settings provide access to your personal information, call-handling preferences, connected devices, voicemail options, and more personal configurations. Profile Settings are available in the web, desktop, and mobile apps.

Access your profile settings

Your Profile Settings provides access to several personal configurations and call routing options. 

To access your personal settings from the browser app: 

  1. Click your initials or avatar in the top right corner.  
  2. Click your name

    Success: The Profile Settings pop-up menu will open. From here, you can access and update key personal configurations.

What’s included in profile settings

Profile Settings include the following sections, each with multiple configuration options.

Personal information

The main Profile Settings landing subtab hosts your personal information. Update your display name, upload a personal avatar to your profile, and set your language preferences.

Company information

The Company subtab includes outbound calling options, your personal extension number, department listing, and company directory settings (availability may vary by organization).

Personal call forwarding

Control how and when your incoming calls are forwarded to other numbers, including custom schedules and forwarding rules (if enabled).

Personal call options

Review call-handling options, such as Ring Group Status and Call Recording (availability may vary by organization).

Your connected devices

View devices connected to your account and remove devices you no longer use.

Caller ID: Choose how your Caller ID appears to the people you call. By default, this phone number matches the number listed in the Company subtab of your Profile Settings (if available).

Your applicable licenses

Review and verify the net2phone licenses assigned to your user to confirm which services or features are available to you.

Your voicemail settings

Manage your voicemail inbox, greetings, and voicemail behaviour. To learn how to create a custom voicemail greeting, refer to: Voicemail Inbox Overview

Contacts and blocked numbers

Import contacts and manage blocked numbers (options may vary by permissions). On supported mobile devices, you can allow or revoke access to your device contacts from your phone’s permissions settings.

Audio devices and music on hold

Select and test audio devices, including microphones, speakers, and headsets. If enabled, you may also be able to manage Music on Hold options for your personal extension.

Integrations and connected apps

View and manage third-party integrations connected to your account, such as calendar, CRM, or collaboration tools (if enabled by your organization).

Notifications

Manage your desktop and browser notifications for incoming calls, messages, and voicemail messages.
