The browser app is your central workspace for business calls, messages, contacts, Huddle video meetings, and account settings.

  • A clean three-pane communication layout.
  • Built-in dialer and video meeting controls.
  • AI tools (availability depends on your plan).
  • A unified activity feed for calls, messages, and voicemails.

Understand the Desktop and Browser App Layout

The browser app is divided into three dynamic panes:

  1. the left navigation pane
  2. the middle workspace, and,
  3. the right dialer pane.

Each pane has multiple views and access points for various unified communication features.

Merge Panes: Main Workspace and Dialer Pane

The panes adapt to your activity and work together. In certain views or activities, the middle and right panes merge into a single workspace. For example, when joining a Huddle video conference, you can easily expand the pane for a wider view.

GIF Example: Middle and right panes merge to expand Huddle's video conference view.

Left Pane — Navigation Menu

Use the left pane to move between the core areas of the app:

  • Activity — View recent calls, messages, and voicemails.
  • Inbox — Access shared inbox messages (if enabled for your account).
  • Interactions — View direct messages and channel conversations.
  • Contacts — Find and manage personal, company, and shared contacts.

Additional tabs may appear depending on your features and permissions.

Example: Left navigation pane open to Contacts with horizontal three-dot contact menu open, displaying the contact Profile Info link and Add to Favourites interactive star.

Middle Pane — Main Workspace

The middle pane is your primary workspace. From here, you can:

  • View message conversations and call details.
  • Listen to voicemails and review call recordings.
  • Start or join Huddle video meetings.
  • Use quick actions such as Compose New Message, Start Huddle, or Make a Call.

Click the keypad icon above the right, dialer pane to collapse it and expand the middle workspace pane.

GIF Example: Middle pane expanded and left pane collapse when keypad icon is clicked, and middle pane merged when Compose New Message is clicked.

Right Pane — Dialer and Calling Tools

Use the right pane to place outbound calls and manage your outbound identity:

  • Open the dialpad to enter a phone number.
  • Select your outbound Caller ID (where supported).
  • Access recent calls and voicemail shortcuts.
  • Merge the middle and right panes to create a larger workspace.
Example: Right side, dialer pane, with outbound caller ID drop-down menu open.

Voicemail

View and listen to voicemails from the Activity tab. Voicemail messages appear alongside your other call activity.
