The Devices tab in your Profile Settings lets you configure your outbound caller ID, adjust how long your desk phones ring before timeout, enable WebRTC calling, and review any desk phones assigned to your extension.
Access your device settings
Follow the steps below:
- Open your Profile Settings.
- Click your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Click your name under Profile Settings.
- Click the Devices subtab on the left side.

Change your outbound caller ID
Your outbound calls will appear to originate from the number you select here. The drop-down menu displays all phone numbers available for your extension.
- Open the Caller ID drop-down.
- Select the number you want to appear on outbound calls.
Note: Admins control which numbers are assigned and available to your extension. If you need access to an outbound caller ID you currently do not have access to, please speak with your Admin.

Update rings before timeout
The Phone Rings setting determines how long your desk phones ring before the call is forwarded based on your rules or sent to voicemail.
- Use the Phone Rings drop-down.
- Select the number of rings (e.g., 3 Rings).
Pro Tip: Ring Timeout Adjustment
If you're unsure how many rings to adjust your rings before timeout, consider the following:
- Offering more rings allows for extra time to answer, but can increase the number of abandoned calls.
- Offering fewer rings reduces caller wait time, but gives you less time to answer and may result in more missed calls.

Enable Softphone Calling
WebRTC (Softphone) Calling enables your computer to act as a phone. When turned on, you can make and receive calls directly in your browser.
Use the toggle to enable WebRTC softphone calling.
Note: If disabled at the company level, this toggle may not appear.

Your Connected Desk Phones
This section lists all desk phones currently connected to your extension. If no devices are provisioned, you will see No Desk Phones Connected. Desk phones typically need to be provisioned by an Administrator or the net2phone onboarding team before they appear here.
Save your changes
After updating your settings, click Save. If you navigate away without saving your changes will not be applied.
Tip: An asterisk next to the name of any Profile Settings subtabs indicates unsaved changes.
