Minutes Mode allows the Sync Mobile app to place calls using your device’s cellular voice plan rather than Wi-Fi or mobile data. Mobile calling is especially useful while travelling or driving through areas where mobile data coverage may be inconsistent, and cellular voice service remains available. The person receiving the call sees your configured Sync business Caller ID rather than your personal mobile number.

Review your mobile plan before enabling Minutes Mode

Minutes Mode uses your personal cellular voice plan. Standard airtime, long-distance, roaming, or other carrier charges may apply depending on your mobile plan and the network used to connect the call. net2phone Canada is not responsible for charges incurred while using Minutes Mode. Confirm that your mobile plan includes the required voice, long-distance, and roaming coverage before enabling the feature.

Canadians should use additional caution when travelling near the United States border. Mobile devices may automatically connect to the nearest available cellular tower, including a US tower, which could result in roaming or international charges. Users whose mobile plans include broader North American coverage may not incur additional charges. Always review the terms of your personal mobile plan before enabling Minutes Mode.

  • Maintaining a more stable voice connection while moving between coverage areas.
