Yealink desk phones are pre-provisioned by net2phone Canada before shipment. Once connected to the network, the phone will automatically retrieve its configuration.

Supported models

The steps in this article apply to the following Yealink desk phone models:

  • Yealink T33G
  • Yealink T43U
  • Yealink T46U

Yealink SIP desk phones include a phone unit and an Ethernet cable. Connect the handset, network cable, and power, if required, before allowing the phone to start.

Connect the handset

  1. Connect the handset cord to the handset.
  2. Connect the other end to the port marked with the handset icon on the back of the phone.

The port marked with a headset icon is intended for a compatible headset and should not be used for the handset.

Connect to your network

  1. Plug the Ethernet cable into the Internet or LAN port on the back of the phone.
  2. Plug the other end into a wall network jack, router, or network switch.

If Power over Ethernet (PoE) is available on your network, the phone will receive power through the Ethernet connection and should power on automatically.

Connect a computer through your phone

If your workspace has only one available wired network connection, you can connect a computer through the Yealink phone instead of using a second wall network connection.

  1. Keep the incoming Ethernet cable connected to the Internet or LAN port on the Yealink phone.
  2. Connect a second Ethernet cable to the PC port on the back of the phone.
  3. Connect the other end of the second Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer.

The connection should follow this path:

Wall jack, router, or switch → Internet/LAN port on Yealink phone → PC port on Yealink phone → Computer

The phone passes the wired network connection through to the computer.

Connect the incoming network cable to the Internet or LAN port, not the PC port. The PC port is used only to pass the network connection from the phone to a computer.

Power options when PoE is not available

If Power over Ethernet (PoE) is not available, connect a compatible Yealink AC adapter to the phone and a power outlet.

  • 1.2A AC Adapter – Compatible with T33G and T43U models.
  • 2.0A AC Adapter – Compatible with T46U models.

Wait for your phone to start

Once the phone has power and a network connection, it will begin starting and connecting to the net2phone Canada service.

Allow a few minutes for the phone to fully start, retrieve its configuration, and register.

Optional wireless accessories

T43U and T46U phones support optional Yealink USB accessories for WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Connect to WiFi

T43U and T46U models support the WF50 WiFi USB dual-band adapter, which allows the phone to connect wirelessly to your network when a wired Ethernet connection is not available.

Connect to Bluetooth

T43U and T46U models support the BT41 Bluetooth USB dongle for connecting supported Bluetooth accessories.
