The net2phone Diagnostic App is used to assess the performance and compatibility of your device's audio input and network capabilities for real-time communication applications, such as Huddle video conferencing and other VoIP services. If you are troubleshooting an issue with our Technical Support Team, they may have directed you to the Diagnostic app to help assist you better. This article details each of the five sections:
- Device and Software Setup
- Connectivity
- Audio and Video Codecs
- Quality and Performance
- Results

If your expected audio and video quality is excellent, and overall performance looks good, click FINISH UP!

What does the Speed Test measure?
The metrics measured in the test are:
Bitrate UDP (kbps) avg/max
Represents the average and maximum data transmission rates over a network using UDP (User Datagram Protocol) in kilobits per second. It measures the bandwidth efficiency and capacity of the network for streaming applications.
Download speed
The rate at which data is transfeuser'srom the internet to a user's device, measured in megabits per second (Mbps). It determines how quickly a user can download files, stream videos, and access web content.
Upload speed
The rate at which data is transferred from a user's device to the internet, also measured in megabits per second (Mbps). This speed affects how quickly a user can send emails, upload files to a server, or post content online.
RTT Result
Round-trip time (RTT) Result refers to the time taken for a signal to travel from the source to a destination and back again, measured in milliseconds (ms). It indicates the latency or delay in the network communication.
Jitter Result
Jitter Result measures the variability in delay of receiving packets over a network, expressed in milliseconds (ms). It reflects the stability of the network connection, with higher jitter indicating more variability and potential for disruption in real-time communications.

(5) Results
The final section offers a summarized report of your diagnostics.
Pro Tip: Download a JSON Report!
See a detailed report with a downloadable .json file. JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data is written as text and consists of two primary structures: Objects and Arrays; if you need help reading your diagnostic results, please our Technical Support contact team, or your IT manager.
