Transfer a Call in the Mobile App

Learn how to send calls to internal team members or external numbers using the net2phone mobile app.

Transfer an active call to another contact or phone number using the Transfer option during a call.

Call transfer notes

  • When you initiate a transfer, the original call is placed on hold.
  • Only one transfer type can be selected at a time.
  • You can tap Cancel at any time to return to the original call.
  • You can tap End Call to end either call during the transfer process.

Transfer types

  • Announced transfer allows you to speak with the recipient before completing the transfer.
  • Immediate transfer immediately sends the call to the recipient once the transfer is initiated.
 

Transfer an active call

Follow the steps below to transfer a call from the mobile app.

  1. While on an active call, select Transfer.
  2. Select a transfer type:
    • Announced
    • Immediate
  3. Choose the transfer recipient:
    • Select a contact from the list, or
    • Enter a phone number manually.

The transfer process will begin according to the selected transfer type.

Complete an announced transfer

If you selected Announced, the original call is placed on hold while the app dials the transfer recipient.

  1. Wait for the recipient to answer.
  2. Introduce the caller.
  3. Select Complete Transfer.

The two calls will be connected, and the call will end on your device. After a successful announced transfer, a confirmation message appears in the app.
