Understand Invoice PDF Downloads

Learn what is included within net2phone Canada invoice PDFs.

Reference this guide after downloading your invoice from the Transaction History page. Each section of your invoice provides key billing information. Use this guide to understand the details shown on your monthly invoice PDF.

Download Invoice PDFs from the Transaction History Table

Invoices can be downloaded as PDFs from the Transaction History table in the Billing Portal.

Invoice First Page

The first page of your invoice shows your account details and total amount due.

  • Account Name and Address – The legal entity being billed.
  • Invoice Number – Unique identifier for the invoice.
  • Account Number – Your billing account number.
  • Invoice Date – The date the invoice was issued.
  • Amount Due – Total amount payable as of the invoice date. If payment has already been applied, this may show as $0.00.

Balance Summary

The Balance Summary shows your account balance and current charges.

  • Balance Forward – Any unpaid balance carried over from a previous invoice.
  • Current Charges – New charges for the current billing period.
  • Amount Due – Total amount owing for this invoice (Balance Forward + Current Charges - Payments/Credits).

Charge Summary

The Charge Summary shows detailed billing line items for services and usage.

  • Service Descriptions – Recurring services, one-time fees, and usage-based charges.
  • Service Period – Billing period for each line item.
  • Quantity and Unit Price – Number of units billed and the price per unit.
  • Line Total – Total cost per line item.
  • Charge Type – Charges grouped by type, such as Recurring or One-Time.

Tax Summary

The Tax Summary shows the taxes applied to your invoice.

  • Tax Type – Indicates which tax was applied (e.g., HST).
  • Rate – Tax rate percentage.
  • Tax Amount – Total tax applied to taxable charges.

Payment History

The Payment History section shows payments or credits applied to your account.

  • Transaction Date – When the payment was processed.
  • Transaction Type – Credit card, EFT, or other payment type.
  • Amount – Amount of the payment applied.

Terms & Conditions

The Terms & Conditions section is located at the bottom of the invoice and includes important billing policies.

  • Late Fees – 2.00% monthly interest (26.824% annual) may apply to overdue balances.
  • Service Disruption – Service may be suspended for non-payment or suspected fraud.
  • 911 Limitations – VoIP-based 911 services may differ from traditional landline service. Visit net2phone.ca/911 for details.
  • Regulatory Recovery Fee – A monthly charge to cover regulatory and administrative costs. This is not a government tax and may change without notice.
