You can access your voicemail inbox directly from your Yealink desk phone using the Voicemail button or by dialling *95. You can also check voicemail from an external phone if Remote Access is enabled for your voicemail inbox.
Requirements and notes
- Voicemail must be enabled for your user profile.
- You need your voicemail password/PIN to access voicemail by phone.
- You cannot access voicemail from your Yealink desk phone while you have an active call on any line.
- Remote voicemail access must be enabled before you can check voicemail from an external phone.
- Voicemail menu options may vary depending on your organization’s voicemail settings and enabled features.

Listen to voicemail on your Yealink phone
Use one of the following methods to access your voicemail inbox from your Yealink desk phone.
Use *95
- From your Yealink desk phone, dial *95.
- Enter your voicemail password/PIN when prompted.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to new or saved messages.
Use the Voicemail button
- Press the Voicemail button on your Yealink desk phone.
- Enter your voicemail password/PIN when prompted.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to new or saved messages.
Voicemail password note
If you do not know your voicemail password/PIN, you can update it from Profile Settings > Voicemail in the Sync desktop or browser app.

After accessing your voicemail inbox, use the keypad options below to navigate voicemail menus.

Listen to voicemail from an external phone
You can check your voicemail from an external phone, such as a mobile phone or landline, if Remote Access is enabled for your voicemail inbox.
- Call your direct phone number from an external phone.
- Wait for your voicemail greeting to play.
- Press * while the greeting is playing.
- Enter your voicemail password/PIN.
- Press #.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages.
Access voicemail through the company number
If you do not have a direct phone number, you may be able to access voicemail by calling your company phone number and entering your extension.
- Call the company phone number from an external phone.
- When the greeting plays, enter your extension.
- Press #.
- Enter your voicemail password/PIN.
- Press #.
- Follow the voice prompts to listen to your messages.
Remote Access required
If you cannot access voicemail from an external phone, confirm that Remote Access is enabled and that you are entering the correct voicemail password/PIN.
Use voicemail-to-email
Voicemail-to-email can send voicemail notifications to your email inbox, including the voicemail audio file, voicemail transcript, and caller details when available.

Tips and troubleshooting
