Use the Local Directory on Yealink T43U and T46U Desk Phones

Learn how to view, create, and edit contacts using the local directory on Yealink T43U and T46U desk phones.

The local directory lets you store and update frequently used contacts directly on your desk phone.


View the local directory

To access your saved contacts:

  1. Press the Directory soft key.
  2. Select Local Directory.

Your saved contacts and contact groups will appear on the screen.


Create a new contact

To add a new contact to the local directory:

  1. Press the Directory soft key. 
  2. Select Local Directory.
  3. Select a contact group or choose All Contacts.
  4. Press the Add soft key.
  5. Enter the contact’s information.
  6. Press the Save soft key.

The new contact will now appear in the selected group.

You can also add a contact from your call history by highlighting a call, pressing Option, and selecting Add to Contacts.


Edit an existing contact

To modify a saved contact:

  1. Open the Local Directory.
  2. Highlight the contact you want to edit.
  3. Select Options
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Update the contact information.
  6. Press the Save soft key. 

A contact must include both a name and a phone number to be saved.
